Church Multiplication

The Metro District is committed to church multiplication to reach the 28 million people in boundries of the District.  Metro Missions is the District arm that exists for the purpose of empowering churches to multiply.  All funds that are given to Metro Missions are used for the sole purpose of supporting church plants.  We believe that every church should participate in the exciting work of church multiplication.  In the past 6 years over 40 churches have been birthed!  The following are ways to join the team:

Mother a church:  Your church takes on the full responsibility of mothering a daughter a church, forming the vision, raising the leadership, sending out a launch team, and giving the church oversight until it is mature and able to reproduce itself.

Partner church:  A partner church says we want to church plant but we can’t do it alone.  We need other partner churches.  The church takes on a share of responsibility in the planting of a new church, perhaps along side of a mother church or a group of churches.  The church members visit, do outreach, support and pray for the new church.

Church Planting Network:  A church planting network is formed when a group of church choose to work together in a particular region to plant church together.  They plan, strategize, support, and work closely together to impact a region.

Metro Missions Giving:  Individuals, Corporations, and Churches can designate giving to church plants through the Metro Missions Fund.  All gifts are fully tax deductible and are completely used (no administrative costs) to support church planters.

 Seed Grants to Churches:

Seed Grants are given for the purpose of empowering churches to multiply by providing matching funds on a yearly decreasing basis.  An example would be for a church to give $30,000 the first year and the Seed Grant would also be $30,000 - a 1 to 1 match.  The second year might be a 2 - 1 match with the church giving $30,000 and the Seed Grant giving $15,000.  Each plant will be considered individually on its own merit and the availability of funds.  Our goal is to have between $300,000 and $500,000 available for matching grants available each year.
