Effective Assessment

Regular assessment to determine ministry effectiveness enables a church to make adjustments to the program and ision.  A church without regular assessments finds itself busy, but without the benefit of knowing if they are being productive. 

Recently, Willow Creek did a self-assessment and found that, in spite of a myriad of programs and activities, much of their work and programs had little effect on growing mature believers in their faith .  This led them to completely change their discipleship emphasis. 

Does your church have a system of assessment that enables you to measure specific goals and progress?  The District is developing tools that are available to you that will help you get on this path.  There is a correlation between growing churches and churches that do regular assessment of effectiveness.
