Strategic Plan

The strategic plan answers the question “How are we going to fulfill the vision?”  Each church should have a current strategic plan that outlines their current goals and objectives to achieve their vision.  Forming such a plan is hard work and requires a great deal of effort on the part of the team.  There is a high correlation between churches with a strategic plan and those that are growing.

The District can assist in the strategic planning process by providing the following training:

Master Planning:  Master Planning is a tool that enables a church to start with the needs of a community and the vision of the church and work backwards from long range to short range goals and objectives.

Natural Church Development (NCD): NCD is a process of assessment and planning that is designed to produce a strategic plan around 8 key areas of church health.  NCD is best implemented with the assistance of a coach.

The Multiplication Church Network (MCN27): The Multiplication Church Network is a Training Tool developed by Bill Malik of the Church Multiplication Office for the purpose of developing multiplication at every level of church life with the goal of church multiplication.  Churches in a region contract to meet together for several training events over an 18th month cycle and are assigned a coach for implementation.

Church Multiplication Intensive (CMI):  The Church Multiplication Intensive is a training event based on a team workshop model which takes place on two weekends one month apart.  The instruction is based on the principles discovered in the NCD model, but treats the issues in a holistic way so the church can develop a complete plan.  The process is not complete until the church reproduces itself.  These training events take place two times each year and are convened in multiple geographic areas for convenience of the teams.
