Opportunities

Alliance Theological Seminary scholarships for licensed workers who want to continue their ministry education.

DMin Scholarship

Eligibility
  • Must be a full-time licensed worker in the Metropolitan District in good standing.
  • Pursuing a doctor of ministry degree to enhance your ministry performance (Counseling degrees are not eligible).
  • Submit your application before June 1st for consideration: Awards will be made by June 15th.
Overview
  • The purpose of the scholarship is to assist pastors who are already in ministry in the Metropolitan District in their effort to complete a doctor of ministry degree ministry at ATS.
  • The scholarship is limited to two recipients at a time.
  • The Doctor of Ministry Scholarship is up to $2,300 per year and up to $6,900 over a three year period. The scholarship will be tailored to the recipient. The scholarship will be paid directly to ATS at the approval of district leadership.

  • The anticipated impact on the person and his/her ministry.
  • Prospect of completing the program of study successfully and according to plan.
  • The need for a scholarship.
Checklist
  • Application and resume.
  • Letter from either your pastor or governing board indicating their recommendation of your continuing education and the time that will be required for classes and study. An agreed upon schedule for taking the classes and completing the program should also be included.

Richard Bailey Scholarship

Eligibility
  • Must be a full-time licensed worker in the Metropolitan District in good standing.
  • Pursuing a master’s degree to enhance your ministry performance (Counseling degrees are not eligible).
  • Submit your application before June 1st for consideration: Awards will be made by June 15th.
Overview
  • The purpose of the scholarship is to assist pastors who are already in ministry in the Metropolitan District in their effort to complete a master’s degree in pastoral ministry at ATS (M.A., M.Div.).
  • The scholarship is limited to two recipients at a time.
  • The Richard Bailey Scholarship is up to $1,500 per semester and up to $9,000 over a three year period. The scholarship will be tailored to the recipient.
